The pancreas plays an important role in your health. It helps regulate blood sugar and releases enzymes that support digestion. Sometimes, fluid-filled sacs or lesions called pancreatic cysts can form on or inside the pancreas. Most cysts are not cancerous, but some can change over time and may develop into cancer.
At the Pancreatic Cyst Clinic at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, you have a dedicated team focused on the diagnosis, surveillance and treatment of pancreatic cysts.
The Pancreatic Cyst Clinic was created to give patients one place for specialized care. Our expert providers evaluate pancreatic cysts, provide a diagnosis and recommend the right next steps. For many patients, long-term monitoring is all that is needed. In other cases, cysts may require additional testing or treatment.
Our clinic provides long-term surveillance so patients never get lost to follow-up. We focus on the pancreatic cyst while their gastroenterologist continues to care for other digestive health needs.
