At Banner Health, we understand the importance of a good night’s sleep. That’s why our sleep centers are dedicated to providing you with compassionate, quality care for your sleep disorders, so that you can get a peaceful, undisturbed night’s rest.
How Can I Get a Sleep Evaluation?
Our staff will help set up your first evaluation with a referral from your primary care doctor or medical specialist. We will provide you with all the information you need for your consultation and/or sleep study. To feel more at ease, you may schedule a visit to the Sleep Center before your appointment.
What Happens During a Sleep Consultation?
A sleep consultation is an appointment with one of our sleep specialists to help determine underlying sleep issues. It will take place in the sleep specialist physician’s office or one of our sleep centers. They will discuss the next steps of your treatment with you and determine if you need a sleep study.
When/Where Do You Do a Sleep Study?
Sleep testing can be done during the night or day, allowing it to be as close to your normal sleep time as possible to ensure an accurate test. If you are tested in our sleep centers, we provide a very comfortable, homelike setting to ensure you are comfortable. For our pediatric patients, we offer special child-friendly rooms that offer a soothing atmosphere to relax the child that can accommodate an overnight stay with a caregiver.
Our Banner Health Sleep Disorders program has a collaborative sleep specialist team. They work with your primary care doctor to diagnose and treat your sleep disorder. Your team can include any of the following:
- Sleep technologists
- Sleep doctors
- Specialty consultants
The cost of your sleep evaluation depends on your sleep problem and the type of testing you need. We will see you on an outpatient basis for your treatment. Medicare and some private insurers often cover many of our services. It’s best to check with your insurance first.
