What our programs offer

When you have your kidney transplant performed at Banner Health, you benefit from:

  • Care from our multidisciplinary team
  • Living donor and deceased donor kidney transplants
  • Advanced surgical techniques, including laparoscopic kidney removal for donors, which makes recovery from surgery faster and reduces the risk of complications
  • Expanded options for donor kidneys, including transplanting organs that are positive for hepatitis C with treatment after transplant, which can shorten wait time for a kidney
  • Access to clinical trials, research and a full team of specialists through the University of Arizona academic medicine partnership
  • Our higher-than-average number of actively listed candidates, compared to national kidney registry benchmarks, which may mean you are matched with a kidney more quickly
  • Education, resources and long-term support
