Banner Children's

Caring for Arizona's Kids
Help us keep kids happy
while they get healthy.

Banner Children’s cares for more children than any other health system in Arizona. Whether delivering medical care in a hospital setting or at school, preventing illness and injury through community outreach programs or helping kids deal with grief, Banner Children’s offers programs and services that touch virtually all aspects of a child’s life.

The last several decades have seen significant advances in pediatric medical care. Survival rates for pediatric cancer have improved significantly over the years due to advances in treatment and early detection. Likewise, increased emphasis on early intervention programs and therapies for children with developmental delays and disabilities, advances in genetics and genomics knowledge, and ongoing research on effective interventions has enabled improvements in the field of developmental pediatrics. The infectious disease landscape has changed in turn, as research has led to improvements in treatment guidelines for pediatric infectious diseases, adoption of telemedicine technologies has increased access to care and reduced the risk of disease transmission, and enhanced infection prevention and control measures in care settings has helped protect our most vulnerable children during hospital stays.

From pediatric specialty care to kids’ comprehensive health and routine wellness, Banner Children’s has been on the cutting edge of these advances, with a comprehensive, family-centered medical care for children at our dedicated pediatric facilities. Banner Children’s at Desert (Mesa), Banner Children’s at Thunderbird (Glendale), and Diamond Children’s Medical Center (Tucson) provide pediatric specialty care in congenital heart disease and pediatric cancer, a Child Life Program, pediatric behavioral health services, a developmental pediatrics clinic, community clinics, safety and injury prevention education, a CARE Program, hospital schools, music therapy, and more.

We must continue to invest in oncology research, the clinical care setting in Developmental Pediatrics, and infectious disease care at our hospital sites to bring the highest level of care to the youngest patients in our care across our health system. Your partnership is critical to our success in caring for Arizona’s youngest residents.
