Blake Baxter

Blake Baxter, MS, CSC, PES, CES, is a Performance Coach at the Banner Sports Medicine High Performance Center. Blake assists with the design, development, and delivery of programming to support the injury prevention, performance, and recovery goals of our clients and athletes at both individual and team levels across a variety of sports and activities. He also assists with business development, sport-specific skills development and technology integration to help optimize the overall athlete experience. His strong coaching and communication skills combined with his emphasis on attitude and consistency allow Blake to get the most out of each athlete as he supports their journey and maximizes performance outcomes.

Blake has 15+ years of experience working in the sport and human performance industry. Most recently, he spent several years in Alaska with the U.S. Air Force serving a special operations group that specialized in Arctic warfare. Prior to that, Blake was the director of athletic performance at Griffin Elite Sports and Wellness where he worked with professional and elite collegiate athletes and led the development and growth of multiple programs for athletes and performers across community, high school and club sports. 

His athletic development programs and coaching skills have been instrumental in helping youth athletes develop and enhance their performance as well as supporting high school and collegiate athletes as they prepare for the next level. He has also helped professional and elite athletes, as well as tactical special operators, maximize their human performance levels for career success and longevity. 

Blake has a master’s degree in exercise science from Eastern Washington University and is pursuing his PhD in sports science and biomechanics.
