Banner Health intranet recognized as one of world's best

Employee site cited for its promotion of unity, inclusivity, and accessibility

FREMONT, Calif. (July 13, 2022) – Banner Health has been recognized as having one of the world’s 10 best employee intranets by user experience research firm Nielsen Norman Group.

It is the 22nd year the well-known firm has held its contest.

“Intranets can be a conduit for unifying many corporate offices, teams, and individuals,” said UX pioneer and expert Jakob Nielsen, principal, Nielsen Norman Group. “Several of the 2022 Intranet Design Annual winners leveraged the intranet to help unify people at the organization.”

Seven of the 10 winning teams are headquartered in the United States, one in Italy, one in Singapore, and one in Spain. Some of the more well-known winners on the list include IBM, The Estee Lauder Companies Inc. and Princeton University.

“We're honored to receive this award. It reflects Banner's commitment to not only digital enablement for patients and customers, but to empowering our workforce of caregivers with digital experiences they deserve,” said Tyson Henrie, digital workforce senior director at Banner.

Some of the common themes among this year’s winning intranets are making it easy for a diverse workforce to relate to one another, the organization, and their customers as well as using site analytics, surveys, and benchmark user tests to track intranet improvement.
