Conveniently located throughout Northern Colorado, the palliative care teams work closely with the patient, family members and other healthcare providers to:

• Control pain and other symptoms
• Make medical decisions that match the patient’s wishes, hopes, and goals
• Coordinate referrals to other resources as needed
• Assist with planning of future care and treatment.

Palliative care optimizes quality of life by anticipating, preventing and treating suffering. Palliative care is appropriate at any age and at any stage of an illness, and can be provided along with treatments that are meant to cure. The palliative care team is also available to see patients in the hospital and in an outpatient clinic.
