Comprehensive Nutrition Services

Comprehensive nutrition services are available to people of all ages through Banner – University Medical Center Tucson. Our registered dietitians and support staff provide guidance, education and encouragement to help you achieve your goals, address special dietary restrictions and improve you and your family's overall health and nutrition.

Our outpatient nutrition counseling program can address concerns such as:

  • Diabetes
  • Digestive disorders
  • Heart disease
  • Obesity

Pregnant and lactating women, people with food allergies, athletes, those interested in improving their general health and well-being, and many others can benefit from participating in the program.

If you or someone you care for could benefit from meeting with a registered dietitian, a physician referral is needed prior to scheduling an appointment. Once the referral is obtained, have your physician fax the referral to (520) 694-2447. After the referral has been faxed, please call to schedule an appointment. Please also contact your insurance provider in advance to check if this is a covered benefit; if not, a self-payment option is available.
