Established in 1995, the Washakie Hospital Foundation raises funds and manages charitable gifts in support of area health care services. Our nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization is led by a board of directors made up of community members.
Foundation funds are used for projects that improve health care, but are not part of the general operating budget of Washakie Medical Center.

Funds are raised through individual and corporate donations, grants, memorials and through various fund raising events coordinated by employees. In addition, every year our employees coordinate some type of fun community event with the proceeds going directly to the foundation.

For example, in 2010, funds were used to purchase new furniture in the main patient waiting area and in 2011, they were used to buy blanket warmers for patient comfort.
