At Banner Children’s, we’re not just here for children, we’re here because of children. So whether you are just learning that your child has a heart condition or have known for a while, rest assured, you and your family are not alone in your journey. Our kid-connected experts are here to support and guide you and your child every step of the way.
There are many different heart conditions or issues that we treat. We work hard to narrow the focus and provide an accurate diagnosis so the most appropriate treatment can be provided, if any is needed. Some of the more common pediatric cardiac conditions include:
If your child is diagnosed with a cardiac condition, your pediatric cardiologist will work together with your child's pediatrician and the entire team to develop a comprehensive care plan specific to your child’s unique needs.
If you’re an expectant mother and your baby has been diagnosed with a heart condition, our fetal heart team will work with our high-risk obstetrics team and get to know you and your child’s condition prior to your delivery to create a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan and ease any concerns you may have. Our team of experts will answer any questions you may have and be there for you and your family. We are here to keep you informed and offer support before, during and after delivery.
Banner Children’s is currently studying the impacts COVID-19 has on the heart. If your child has been diagnosed with COVID-19, it will be important to have a post-COVID-19 evaluation to ensure the health of their heart as COVID-19 may have long-term effects. Our team of kid-connected experts will be there to guide you and your child through this testing to answer any questions you may have.
For us, caring for kids is a privilege. The compassionate staff at Banner Children’s is committed and focused on providing the best care currently available and developing new treatment options for complex conditions.
