1. Physicals: During an occupational health physical, our providers conduct thorough assessments to determine an individual's fitness for specific job duties. This may include evaluating physical abilities, assessing medical history, and conducting specialized tests as needed.
2. Pre-Employment Exams: Before starting a new job, employees may be required to undergo pre-employment medical examinations to assess their fitness for specific roles. Our clinic conducts thorough evaluations to identify any potential health concerns that may impact an individual's ability to perform job duties safely.
3. Workplace Injury Care: In the event of a work-related injury, prompt and effective treatment is essential for minimizing downtime and facilitating recovery. Our clinic offers injury care including Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) and treatment - with a focus on getting employees back to work as quickly and safely as possible.
4. Drug and Alcohol Testing: Maintaining a drug-free workplace is essential for ensuring safety and productivity. Our clinic offers a variety of drug and alcohol testing services, including pre-employment screening, random testing, and post-accident testing, to help employers maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a healthy work environment.
5. Immunizations and Vaccinations: Preventive care is key to protecting employees from infectious diseases and promoting overall wellness. We provide a comprehensive range of immunizations and vaccinations tailored to the needs of different industries, including flu shots, travel vaccines, and occupational-specific vaccines.
6. Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP): PEP is available to care for workers who have been exposed to hazardous body fluids carrying potentially life-threatening diseases like HIV and hepatitis. According to the CDC, initiating a prescription within a 2-hour window significantly reduces the risk of contracting HIV. Follow-up care includes counseling, testing and immunizations.
7. Firefighter Health & Wellness: Our Firefighter Health & Wellness program is customized to meet the needs of busy firefighters. We offer NFPA 1582 medical testing and physical examinations from a board-certified physician. Additionally, Banner Occupational Health & Wellness partners with Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center to offer a comprehensive cancer screening program, which allows us to effectively screen and diagnose firefighting team members.
