Services at this location

Welcome

Banner - University Medicine Comprehensive Pain and Addiction Clinic in Phoenix, AZ offers compassionate medical care for substance and alcohol use. We offer outpatient management, including medication and detoxification for substance use disorder.

About Us

Our staff at Banner - University Medicine Comprehensive Pain and Addiction Clinic provides compassionate medical care for substance use disorders. A substance use disorder is a chronic disease of the brain. Changes occur in the part of the brain that affects memory, learning, and motivation. These changes make it difficult to control the use of substances and alcohol even though negative things are happening in a person's life. A substance or alcohol use disorder is not a moral failing. Addiction experts at Banner University Medical Center work compassionately with patients to collaboratively build treatment plans to recover from and manage substance and alcohol use, and offer a wide array of evidence based treatments.

Through education, community outreach and advocacy we aim to lower stigma and support patients. We also aim to support and educate colleagues in the care of their patients with substance and alcohol use disorders and increase the number of confident and knowledgeable health care professionals treating addiction.
