Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center in Sun City West, Arizona, provides behavioral and mental health treatment programs for adults and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings. For patients 18 or older who need supportive behavioral health care, our adult psychiatric inpatient unit provides care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Our programs include:
Specialized therapies available at Banner Del E Webb music, pet, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT), substance abuse counseling (AA, NA, CMA), recreational therapy.
Our SAGE (Support, Adaptation, Growth, Enrichment) unit offers one of the few programs in Arizona for patients who need both medical and behavioral care. We encourage patients and family members to be active, involved and informed — because families can, and do heal together.
Inpatient geriatric psychiatric services are provided to older adults at Banner Del Webb. These services are designed specifically for an older population and include treatment for depression, suicidality, anxiety, psychosis and substance abuse. Our services are provided by psychiatric and medical staff to care for both mind and body.
Our caregivers are trained in dementia specialized care methods including reminiscence therapies, music and movement therapies and are prepared to offer support and informational services to families caring for their loved ones.
Banner Del E Webb operates both an adult and adolescent intensive outpatient program (IOP) to help patients to take charge of their mental health and well-being.
We recognize that teenagers face unique pressures and exposures that can take a toll on their mental health and well-being. Whether dealing with chemical dependency and substance abuse such as the use of alcohol, tobacco or drugs or struggling with harmful thoughts, behaviors and habits, this customized program provides participants with professional and peer support.
Open to individuals ages 13-17, this holistic group-based three-hour therapy session meets three times per week for a total of nine hours each week. It uses evidence-based techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and more. Through intentional thought, behavior and lifestyle changes, participants learn to cope with everyday pressures and harmful temptations. In turn, they become better equipped to maintain healthy habits and interactions with their families, peers and others. To help reinforce these skills, family therapy is provided on a weekly basis, helping parents/guardians better understand how to support their teen.
Mental health (MH) IOP – support for those who need to process and work through depression, anxiety, grief, relationship struggles and more. The group focuses on teaching mindfulness and emotion regulation to help restore balance and harmony in one’s life.
Chemical dependency (CD) IOP – professional assistance with substance abuse issues using such practices as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and rational emotive behavior therapy. The group focuses on teaching the skills and techniques necessary to restore order and regain control of one’s life.
