The University of Arizona Cancer Center* is designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) as a Comprehensive Cancer Center. This designation, the NCI’s highest, is reserved for centers focusing on patient care, research, prevention, education, outreach and training.
Multidisciplinary patient-care teams include internationally-renowned medical, hematological, radiation and surgical oncologists as well as nurse practitioners, nurse coordinators, research specialists, psychiatrists, social workers, patient advocates, nutritionists, pharmacists and genetic counselors. Hematology oncology services are provided in Building 1 and radiation oncology services are provided in Building 2.
