The Community Health Care Foundation, established in 1989, raises funds and manages charitable gifts in support of area health care services.
The foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable 503(c)(3) organization and is governed by a board of directors made up of community members, hospital staff and administration.
How Donations Are Used
Foundation funds are used for projects that improve health care but are not part of the general operating budget of Community Hospital.
Gifts can be used in the following ways:
- Capital improvements
- Acquiring state-of-the-art technology
- Education programs for the community, patients and hospital staff
Funds are raised through individual and corporate donations, grants, memorials and an annual community fund raising event.
