Grieving is the emotional suffering you feel when something or someone you care for is gone or significantly changed – and it’s a highly individual experience. How you grieve depends on a lot of things like your personality, ways fo coping, life experiences, faith and the circumstances surrounding loss itself.
Grief can feel like you’re on a rollercoaster. It can have a profound effect on you emotionally, mentally, spiritually, socially and physically. While each person experiences loss differently, common symptoms of grief include:
Banner Hospice now offers online grief groups free-of-charge. Participation is limited and registration is required. Once you are registered, a Microsoft Teams meeting link will be sent to you. These online grief groups are four weeks (same day/time each week) with morning and evening options avaliable. Please be avaliable 1.5 hours per meeting. The program is followed by other online support opportunities such as alumni groups and one-on-one Grief Recovery Program® (7 weeks).
