The Pediatric PGY2 pharmacy residency at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson (BUMCT) is a 52-week program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). This program is designed to prepare motivated and qualified pharmacists or advanced pediatric clinical pharmacy practice, including specialist and/or clinical faculty positions. The program emphasizes clinical practice and consists of nine months of core (required) learning experiences in specific aspects of pediatric pharmacy and three months of elective opportunities. Elective rotations are customized to meet the needs of the individual resident, while accomplishing the objectives of the program. Therefore, the program will be individualized to suit the needs of the resident.
