Support for Diabetes

Diabetes can be a lifelong condition. Managing it requires ongoing care, education and support.

Find inspiration and motivation for staying active, eating healthy and building up your diabetes knowledge with education and resources. From support groups to dietary resources and education classes, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Support groups: Connect with others

Share your challenges and successes and learn from others who share similar experiences in a supportive and understanding environment. Support groups provide a sense of community, helping you navigate the emotional aspects of living with diabetes.

There are several different types of support groups:

In-person: Connect with others face-to-face through in-person support groups. These gatherings provide a safe and welcoming environment for sharing experiences, exchanging insights and building meaningful connections within your local community.

Virtual (online): If you prefer the convenience of virtual connections, online support groups bring people together from the comfort of their homes. Through video conferencing and online platforms, you can participate in discussions, share resources and receive support regardless of your location.

Social media: You can connect with others who are living with diabetes via social media platforms like Facebook and TikTok. To find them, you can search for hashtags like #type1diabetes or #diabetessupport.

Specialized support programs: These specialized groups are tailored to meet specific needs. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, a parent and child with diabetes or managing diabetes in the later stages of life, these programs offer targeted resources, expert guidance and a network of people facing similar challenges.
