About BannerAir

BannerAir is a true flying intensive care unit. Our crews are able to provide life-saving treatments in the air to critically ill patients. We fly patients of varying ages and diagnosis. Anything from trauma to implanted balloon pumps to COVID positive and intubated patients.

Through our strong clinical partnerships within Banner Health and Banner’s state of the art, high fidelity simulation center, we are proud of our robust clinical education and quality management programs. We continue to improve business and patient outcomes through careful analysis of every case and providing quality education to our crews.

Our Team

BannerAir teams are comprised of highly trained Registered Nurses and certified emergency Paramedics; each with many years of high acuity experience and specialty training in multiple unique patient populations. Our crews are RN/RN or RN/Paramedic and hold multiple certifications; BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, TPATC, CFRN and FP-C

Our clinicians include:

  • Typical backgrounds - ICU/ER/911/Military
  • Med Trans - Highly trained Pilots and mechanics, enter the program with many years of experience

Our Bases

BannerAir has four Bases throughout Arizona, all bases are capable of long-distance transport and available 24/7.

  • Banner 1 - Sun City West – Banner Del Webb Medical Center
  • Banner 2 - Payson – Banner Payson Medical Center
  • Banner 3 - Queen Creek – Banner Ironwood Medical Center
  • Banner 4 - Casa Grande – Banner Casa Grande Medical Center

Our Fleet

Ideally suited to the high-heat, high elevation Arizona environment, BannerAir’s fleet is comprised of Airbus H125 A-stars, specially equipped for Critical Care, Emergency Response calls. Capabilities include:

  • Night-Vision Goggles for all Crew Members
  • Equipped with state-of-the-art safety equipment for terrain and aircraft traffic
  • Long range of over 200 miles, high speed transport 140kts/160mph
  • Ideal for extreme environments
  • Everest rescue aircraft
  • Satellite radio and phones
